Lehman Brothers SA Interview
I have a first round phone interview with Lehman. It's just the typical firmwide interview with a recruiter. Has anyone gone through it and can provide some insight into what I can expect? Any help is appreciated.

If it's for HK I wrote my experiences here:

I have one as well next week. I requested Capital Markets, but they said I'm going to be considered for investment bank, capital markets, and investment management. Is this normal?
I have the same interview. Not sure what to expect.
When did you guys apply?
I applied back in November via recruiter's email.
I e-mailed an alum from my school in november and he passed my resume through.
dammit i have no shot then... i applied around christmas/new years
It is normal for them to consider you for all three front office spots and your first interview will be with a recruiter "wearing a one firm hat" that will "consider your preferences but place you where they think you are best fit"
i have the same interview scheduled. i would assume they do consider your preference and once they ask you which division you would like to work in they will probably steer their questions in that direction.
what I know about the non-target students, if your first one is with a recruiter, they are much more fit-oriented and definitely just to see where you would fit in best. Then they would pass you along to any alums from that school to also have a few interviews. This is considered your first round and is formal, but at the same time isn't (not similar to the first rounds given to targets). Basically, if HR and your alums think you're competent enough, they send you to the 2nd round/Superday. This is according to my buddy whose a 2nd year from a large state school.
Should i mention that I want to be in S & T, during the "tell me about yourself" question or should i wait until they ask me what division i'm interested in?
bump, I am having the same interview soon.
i have a final round interview coming up with lehman with a svp. i know from reading this forum that the interviews with more senior bankers are usually less technical and more "fit" type questions. can anyone confirm this from a past experience with an interview from a senior banker at lehman brothers?
In my case, interviews with senior VPs have been more fit versus technical. Not sure if you can make this assumption for all. Overall Lehman had been the most "fit"/qualitative whereas on the opposite end of the spectrum, JPMorgan had been the most technical and quantitative.
ranger, in your first sa interview did they ask you which area you wanted to intern in?
And if they did is that the field you're having your final round for?
no they didn't. i think i mentioned in my cover letter (applied online) that i wanted corp finance in hong kong. all my interviews so far have been with people in the corp finance group. they also told me that as a corp finance intern, i'll be a generalist so i'm not interviewing for any specific industry or product groups.
Well i had mine today it was mainly just walking through my resume, some team work questions, and a few problems relating to the market. Nothing too bad.
How did every1 else's go.
Might not want to take that full-time offer if you get it guys
Bump... got a phone screen with them tomorrow
good luck brah
Can anyone shed some light on the analyst program here? I've been very interested in applying
I’ve been trying to apply for an SA gig but keep being redirected to the Barclays website.
Is anyone else having this issue?
How could this possibly be for banking?
your reddit question is still stupid
Did you get the job, mate?
