Morgan Stanley Global Capital Markets 1st Round Interview

I have a 1st round interview with this group tomorrow for their 2015 SA Program.

In addition to knowing fundamental banking technicals and IPOs, is there anything else that I should be focusing on?

Any advice/insight on this would be much appreciated.

Would also like to know this..I'm assuming you are correct, and that there will be more market related questions like in an S&T interview in comparison to IBD. At least that is how I'm approaching it..

No technicals required. Focus on what do you think about the markets and similar questions. So follow the markets.

"I do not think that there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature."

Know why companies would chose to issue debt vs. equity, and also understand the difference between what an equity and debt investor are looking for. Definitely have some understanding of whats going on in the markets right now, and know how various current events are affecting them. Don't need to be a market expert, but be able to have a semi-intelligent conversation about them. Also make sure you can specify why you're interesting in capital markets vs. a coverage group

I've actually talked to a few guys there extensively during my networking over the past few months. If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me.

E.BIT.DA:

Is this a good sign?.

You got moved from wealth management to GCM..... I would say that's definitely a good sign
