good question - also curious

i know at Blackrock specifically they really encourage employees to switch divisions if they want a change and its relatively easy to do so there

however gs is a different company so interesting to know what their policy is on over there - i would imagine its kinda similar but thats just a guess

There is an internal portal which you apply to any open positions. Sometimes the first round is a phone interview (in person during normal times) and other times it is a HireVue. From there, you could have multiple rounds of interviews or you can have a superday where you meet the whole team in one day, it really depends on that team's preference I think. Interviews are relatively standard, though a little more laid back since you already have the GS stamp of approval.

Best advice I can give is to network with teams/divisions you are interested in. I haven't had an issue getting interviews without networking, but I'm sure it helped for the ones that I did. Working hard and getting strong feedback/reviews from your teams also helps.
