PJT

I have a First Round coming up in next week with PJT's restructuring and special situations team and have little to no knowledge on the restructuring industry. Anyone have any useful advice on how I can prepare for this? I'm looking to study anything and everything you guys throw my way. Thanks guys

I have been prepping for about 2 months now. Strong sophomore experience helps as the interview is highly technical with tough accounting, restructuring specific, debt, etc type questions.

Any of the guides are a good way to get a SA gig at any place other than PJT restructuring. The interview questions are a lot harder than the guides. Understanding the concepts is absolutely crucial since you will be grilled on everything you say. The Moyer book is a decent start to understand restructuring in general. A lot of questions will be qualitative in nature too in order to gauge your ability to think critically.

Not sure, HR said they'll finish mid October. My guess is that first rounds will be finishing within the next week or two. Try to get your resume out there and leverage any connections you have. They also said you won't get interviewed if you don't apply regardless of who you know.

OCR with PJT interviews this past week... Restructuring was by far the hardest. Make sure you understand bond yields, etc. and mental math is key... they're number one in the field for a reason
