Portfolio management comp
Hi,
I have recently been offered a position as VP PM, role is essentially seconding the Senior portfolio manager.
Bonus component of compensation is explicitly tied to the fund’s AUM & investment performance Can you give me insights on what sort of % the bonus should be?
Thank you

Impossible to say without more information. What kind of fund, what is your YOE, your track record, background?
Depends entirely on your bargaining power vs. the firm..
Same boat here - for a multi asset BB, will be setting up new funds to meet client mandates. There are 5 PMs on the team.YOE - 10 (but all middle office)Finishing MBA - would start next yearRecruited directly (networking)No idea how total comp should be. The numbers online are all over the placeDiscussing offer on Tuesday - eek
would be curious to hear how the conversation shook out.
They came in at 170 base. Discussions still going. We didn’t talk bonus
