Private Capital Advisory - Typical analyst deliverables and day-to-day work

Hey guys,

So I know people have explained what PCA is on here, but can I get some insights about what an analyst does day to day? I know that the group focuses on raising money for funds and also advising funds on whether to sell their assets off or not but what specifically does the analyst do to support the process?

Financial modeling to determine value of potential sell/purchase assets/interests owned by clients? Marketing materials to raise funds for clients? Market/industry research to support clients investment thesis?

If I'm totally off, please correct me guys, but I'd be very interested in better insights to what an analyst does in PCA and maybe an detailed example of a "deal" from start to finish and where PCA comes in. Thanks.

Hopefully you've read the detailed description on their website and in their SEC filings?

There have been many great comebacks throughout history. Jesus was dead but then came back as an all-powerful God-Zombie.

Hey thanks Kenny, I never thought about going through their SEC filings. For some reason my gut is telling me this isn't enough though. What are they looking for in a candidate? Do they do summer interns? What I want to know is what I can say to this MD to get him to hire me for the summer. It seems like there is no formal process for this type of thing? (In the sense that their is 1st round, 2nd round, superday, etc)
