Resume help: Chronological order or order of importance?
Hi all,
I had an internship at a BB in 2010 and now have an internship at REPE (about 15-20 hours/week). I think that the BB internship is more impressive and so i prefer to list it first on the resume even though it was in 2010. Is it ok to do this?
Thank you
bump, i have a similar question about extracurriculars
I talked to a BB recruiter and she said chronological. That said, I personally prefer order of importance, if the order is easily discernable. Luckily for me, my order of importance and order of chronology are very similar.
traffic,
I think extracarriculars is better in order of importance.
Swaggerer,
Thanks.
Resume in Chronological Order (Originally Posted: 06/26/2013)
Hey Guys,
I currently I am in a role I do want to highlight as much as my previous roles. The most format for many resumes is reverse chronological order (recent on top, oldest on bottom). However, because I don't want to highlight my current role as much should I go with the chronological order (oldest top, recent on the bottom). What do you guys think? Would it be wise if I did so -- would it seem fishy? Are there any other techniques that one could use to attract less attention on the most recent role?
sounds stupid to me write less for your current role and more for the older ones that are more relevant
use the descending new to old, but just write more for your positions in the past
