Thanks NoName! Yes the deadline was last Sunday

If you want to be a consultant, you should be able to ballpark an answer your own question.

If the deadline was Sunday, that means the recruiting people didn't even really start looking at resumes until Monday. They have to screen resumes (and resumes actually get screened twice, a rough cut by the recruiting team and then a more detailed screen by consulting staff). Then they have to schedule interviews. There are multiple rounds.

How long must all that take? A lot longer than four days, certainly.

I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, I'm serious. If you ask a question like this to your manager they will tear you up. You are expected to have tried to figure out the answer before you ask.

i received my app status update through email this past week

what exactly do you mean by "status update"? were you notified of an interview?

Alright. I called them this morning and got a no on my application. I guess if you did not receive an interview invitation, it is highly possibly a silent rejection.

SF interview date is September 12th. Interviews were given out 10 days after the the application deadline in August. If you haven't heard back then more than likely you were not invited to interview.
