July 4th Is a Scam

Let us know what you guys think, and have a great week!

In regards to the blog post, it sounds like a great idea with the exception of one small detail. I agree that Congress is fundamentally corrupt and markedly inefficient, but California's legislative history should serve as a lesson to us all about what happens when "we the people" have more of a say. Unfortunately, people have a tendency to vote themselves into the poorhouse because of an inane belief that they can actually have more social programs and not have to pay for them.

One potential mitigation to this would be having to pass some sort of test to be eligible to vote, but I think that would be a hard sell. Besides, who writes the test and what are the criteria to pass it? In any case, it is very unlikely to ever happen because no one in power votes themselves less of it.

I completely disagree with Altucher. Having votes online would make it easier stupid people to vote.

I am not cocky, I am confident, and when you tell me I am the best it is a compliment. -Styles P
