Drew Brees: All class, all the time:
http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/38343/drew-brees-apologizes…

In the three seasons I’ve been covering the NFC South, one recurring theme I’ve noticed is that New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees always is going to say and do the right thing.

Doesn’t matter if it’s throwing a key touchdown pass on the field or sharing his wisdom with the media. Brees has grace and incredible timing.

That perhaps never was more evident than Friday morning, when Brees sent out a lengthy message on Twitter about the NFL’s labor situation, which, at least at the moment, does not appear to be headed in a good direction. I’ll just include one sentence from Brees here because it says it all.

“I’m very sorry that you as fans have to endure this,’’ Brees wrote.

Have a great week guys!

If the NFL goes to a lockout, move to watching Hockey to fill the Fall/Winter blues. I mean, you're in Europe, how hard is it to get German, Swedish, Swiss, Danish and Finish regional hockey?

Harder! Tax me harder!!

LOL. I nearly fell out of my chair. Great job guys. I can't believe we've already seen 18 episodes.

Regards

Holy nuclear fallout batman,

I DON'T WANT TO PAY TAXES, and while I'm in favor of everyone paying thier fair share, I think that budget aside, it seems that there is no concensus on WHAT the money that IS collected should be spent on. My personal beef is that the DOD is providing global security [which is good] but then European nations can allot a greater portion of their budget to social programs. The US is handling the light work while they criticize our system....it bothers me because it's really cheap politics dressed up in really sophisticated language. My way of seeing it is that the US is over here, but Europe is next door to MENA, so long term they really should be doing more and talking less. What that more is, I have no idea.

I find it fun that sports were a more contentious topic than politics in your conversation, so my guess is that you two are the only two real people tracking current affairs: "Make fun of the guy I voted for, but I gotta take issue with you comparing behavior of the guys in my sport vs yours." Totally enjoyable commentary. I'm wondering if any of us who play football are interested in getting a job in the NFL using the approach I used to get a job at the bottom of the recession: just volunteer with the message "Hey man, you're firing a lot of people around here......can I come work for you at half what you used to pay them?"

We're caught up in a Catch-22 over there. I would liken it to the case of the weaker, slower, older fighter getting the best of the younger, stronger, faster guy by baiting him with tricks and tactics. Namely, Europe (whatever the fuck that is in a collective historical sense) has no more muscle to fight for its interests in the MENA. So it plays the docile victim while benefiting from America's childish desire to flex its muscle. The reality is that American taxpayers work for European citizens. You can even argue that American taxpayers actually fund both our retirees and theirs vis-a-vis the bloated defense budget. Think about it...

There is a direct link between the business of government and the business of sport. Sports have (in a not so subtle way) become a method of carrying out many political issues and ideas. Sometimes when I watch PTI I feel like its Hannity and Colmes with a slightly tweaked subject matter.

As for your idea about getting an NFL gig, I love it...just not so sure its as easily done as it is said. Then again, get yourself a tube top and some fuck me pumps and you can have one of the all-time greats sending you cock pics. That's the world we live in...

What's with this have shit? Let see a merchandising plan, then we'll talk giveaways.
