I interviewed for the fixed income rotational program as a full-time applicant, a few weeks ago. I go to a liberal arts college, so there weren't any particularly difficult technical questions. They asked me why I wanted to work at AB, why fixed income, what was going on with interest rates, why I should bother investing in bonds if stocks always had a higher return (aka a basic question on portfolio theory), and to explain the order of riskiness for sovereign debt, corporate debt, and personal debt.

Hi Moulya, just trying to help:

I interviewed with them twice for fixed income and they were both a mix of behavioral and broad technical questions (where do you see the economy/bonds moving in the future). Had a very good 2nd interview but was never contacted back despite consistently inquiring.
