Analyst, Funds Administration...what's in it for me?
Hello,
The title is: Analyst, Funds Administration... for a big insurance company. Its back office stuff.
I was wondering
1- What to expect from the job in terms of learning experience that can be transferrable in the future.
2- How will that experience be valued for from of a FO/consulting/corporate finance/cap markets job.
May be notable to say that I only plan on staying there for 6 months and then start an msc, finance that combines the CFA or CPA.
Zero transferable skills. No joke.
data entry
I agree no real hard core transferable skill. Only thing would be to transfer those skills of fund admin to another product and build various product knowledge that way.
It's not "data entry" but it really is nothing glamorous. The end game here is to maaaaaybe get into an actual fund itself as a fund accountant. If I were you I'd go Big Four for the more transferrable skillset.
