Are there any AM roles in Texas?

I enjoy the role that I am in but I'd like to move to Texas for a variety of reasons. Are there any shops that have offices down there? Do any of the big firms like Wellington have any smaller office down there?

Based on previous WSO threads, Texas, particularly cities like Dallas, Houston, and Austin, offers a growing number of opportunities in various sectors, including asset management (AM). The state has seen significant corporate relocation and population growth, making it an attractive location for many firms.

  • Dallas: Known for its strong primary employment base and a culture that includes Southern/Midwestern fraternities, golf, and college football. It's a great place to live comfortably if you fit in culturally.
  • Houston: Historically tied to oil and gas but now much more diversified.
  • Austin: Also experiencing growth and attracting businesses.

While the context does not specifically mention Wellington or other big firms having smaller offices in Texas, the general trend suggests that many firms are considering or have already established a presence in the state due to its favorable business environment.
