JP Morgan Asset Management Branch Office Positions
I'm wondering if anyone can provide more information on the types of people working as an "Investor", "Investor Associate", "Banker" or "Banker Associate" at JPMorgan Asset Management. These jobs are in their wealth management branch offices throughout the country. Looks to me like the Banker is more or less like an advisor, trying to get new business, find new high networth clients. The investor focuses more on the asset allocation and the actual advising of how to position the portfolio. The associate positions provide support to the senior positions.
After doing some searches, the associate positions make $80k plus for a base, which means the Investor or Banker probably makes over $100/$110 as a base.
Had a few questions:
1. Are these jobs relatively easy to get compared to a buyside PM or analyst position (for example, do you have to have an MBA from a top school etc.)?
2. What's the earning potential? For the banker, I'd imagine it's based on how much money you bring in, but what about for the investor? Performance based?
3. What are the hours like for these jobs?
This looks like it could be a potentialy nice income with a good quality of life.
