Jupiter AM

Morning AM people,

I’m seeking a bit of advice on an application I made to ‘Jupiter Asset Management’, Investment Management Trainee in London.

I’ve gotten through to the online assessment stage (which is a TestGorilla assessment, which I heard are absolute ass), but honestly I’m bereft of any information on the firm - I try not to trust glassdoor these days as there’s a lot of BS out there.

Two questions: - Does anyone have experience with TestGorilla? I’ve read a few things and people are pretty opinionated on how shitty it is. - Is Jupiter a good place to start in Asset Management?

Thank you all for reading!!

Based on previous WSO threads, here are some insights that might help:

  1. Experience with TestGorilla:

    • While there isn't specific information about TestGorilla in the provided context, online assessments are a common part of the recruitment process in many firms. It's advisable to prepare thoroughly by practicing similar types of questions and familiarizing yourself with the format. You might find more specific advice on forums or by reaching out to others who have taken the same assessment.
  2. Is Jupiter a good place to start in Asset Management?

    • The context doesn't provide specific information about Jupiter Asset Management. However, based on the general advice from WSO threads, starting at a firm with a good track record and diverse exposure can be beneficial. For example, working in both acquisitions and asset management early in your career can give you a leg up on the competition and help you figure out what you enjoy more. Look for opportunities that allow you to wear multiple hats and gain a broad range of experiences.

If you need more detailed information, you might want to explore more discussions on WSO or reach out to professionals in the industry for their insights.

Hey! Hope I’ve not responded too late, but tbh it was ur basic logical reasoning test, and numerical test. Just interpreting data etc. For the logical section I’d definitely recommend having pen and paper just to visualise things (your brain may not work the same as mine, but I managed to get a competitive score doing that). The positive is that u see ur results right after. Hope this is useful :)

Looking on the investment20/20 website and dont see the graduate role posting anymore. Are the applications already closed??

Alright :(. Shame because they are not listed on the bristol application tracker. Do you use this resource or something else of the kind to know opening dates for graduate roles?
