Last Shot Super Day at Blackrock PEP SA 2022
Boys, I just received the final round invitation for the 2022 Summer Analyst from Blackrock Private Equity Partners (PEP) Product Strategy and Investor Relations group in Hong Kong. This is the first time for me to break into the super day and I have a sense this is gonna be a now or never moment for me to enter the industry. I'm gonna have my interview in a week and I knew nothing about the group (except for the fact that it belongs to ETF&Index Investing).
I would admit I have always been an underdog, growing up in a small city in China and having a fairly modest upbringing, but I swear this is probably "the moment" when I feel I am so close to realizing my dreams. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Or can anyone explain to me whether PEP is a group from index and etf investing at all. Now I am a little bit confused. I heard that the HR team there is not so efficient when it comes to recruiting.
Am writing emails to ask specifically which group I will be interviewing for.

Alright boys, for those who are concerned, HR says it's gonna be an ETF&Index Investing super day. I'd start another thread then.
PEP and ETFs are about as different as different can be while still being on an investment team. One is private equity and the other is index funds.

Hope you get an informed reply on this, but the only thing I have to add is that it is never all or nothing. If you have the skills and the work ethic you will get to where you want to go eventually, even though it might take longer. So don't put too much pressure on yourself and good luck, you got this!
