Prudential's reputation?
Does anyone have any thoughts on Prudential Financial? I'm considering applying for a position in investment operations - plan accounting. Anyone ever work there, heard anything about it?

Prudential Financial - Investment Analyst - Experience? (Originally Posted: 05/03/2011)
Hey
Wondering if anyone has had any experience with Prudential Financial / Prudential Mortgage Capital Company and the interview process. I applied for their investment analyst position and have a interview coming up.
Company reputation? Interview process? Exit Opps? Comp? What should I study?
Thanks
Bump.
I also have an interview coming up for Investment Analyst and am curious to all the above questions as well. Any help/advice/insight would be appreciated. Nobama88, how did your interview go?

Can only comment on Prudential's Capital Group, which is primarily a mezz lender. I'm guessing this is within the life insurance investment side?

Hey, so I'm currently applying at Prudential Financial. It seems as if they are a legitimate institution for a post grad such as myself to get started fresh out of college. I interviewed at NorthWestern Mutual and it seemed as if I'd just be cold calling and selling insurance to friends and family. Anyone have any experience with Prudential and if they would be a good place for me to start? Thanks
Northwestern Mutual's entry level insurance sales team's should be illegal.
^THIS. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Prudential.
I concur
I agree with TheReturn. I told Northwestern Mutual at the interview that it's a messed up business model and I am not willing to scalp my family and friends for that position. In terms of Prudential they are a huge insurance company with offices in all major cities. I would have to know which program are you applying to.
Well I reviewed Prudentials site and the three best fields for me would be Insurance& Financial sales, Sales& Marketing, and Human Resources. Particularly, in that order.
Prudential Financial - Associate position (Originally Posted: 04/25/2013)
Hey everyone, so i'm currently interviewing and considering a Financial Professional Associate position with Prudential. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of this particular positon with Prudential? And if it is a good position for a post grad student such as myself? Thanks.
Sounds like insurance sales. I don't believe it is the mezz or alternative investing group.
If it's insurance sales, those positions can be rough. Trying to get everyone you know to buy insurance from you could be uncomfortable. Is this a corporate position in Newark? Or a field position at a Prudential branch?
