Tired of helping client /marketing
I move from sell side to a tier 2or so global AM firm two years ago. Because Our team is located somewhere in Asia, due to time zone and short of hand, a lot of the client / marketing jobs lands on my back. So I got less and less time to do research, sometimes shrinking by half even.
My PM is totally fine with that, since for him whatever get AUM is helping. I am not a fan at all given I still want a career as a investment research analyst. I am worried If I stayed in this hole too long, I will not be recognized as a analyst elsewhere. Any suggestions for me? Or anyone having the same problem that can relate maybe
