What's the outlook on going to Wellington as a Research Associate out of undergrad as opposed to something more traditional like banking? What does pay look like? Exit opps, MBA outlook?

Wellington is highly coveted, most people are for lifers. Pay is street, the kicker is you have to live in Boston...which isn’t bad at all

... do you have an offer or are you asking for some other reason? Wellington is a top name in AM. If you're interested in the buy side, it's the place to be, especially since AM barely hires out of undergrad or in general. Else, IB for HF and PE exit opps
I have been interview and will probably get an offer. I’m just worried about the future of AM with consolidation and move to passive so idk if it is a smart move. Also, valuing equities doesn’t teach much if any transferable skills. So just worried

Yup, both of the shops mentioned are active focused. So these are shops who have professionals that know their shit, and can charge up for it vs passive. If you have an offer in Research or PM from either of these places, take it and don’t look back.
Great place to be. Lots of AUM & resources for investment professionals. They also have a hedge fund platform, unlike most other active managers
