What are some dead giveaways that you bombed an interview?

Just had an interview last week that was going well … then I started to talk a bit too much. The interview lasted 35 minutes out of an hour slot. There was time for questions at the end. I was very nervous and I asked a few questions that I had prepared well but executed poorly. The interviewers left at 45 minutes. How unlikely is it that I hear back? What are some dead giveaways that it went badly that I may have missed.

You are anxious and nervous, as is usual. Wait till the end of this week, and follow up with HR or whomever your contact is about feedback from the interview. Make sure you've already sent thank you notes to the interviewers as well.

Nothing you have said screams red flag. I've had interviews go 30 minutes under, and 30 minutes over - good, bad and otherwise. If you think the majority of the time, 30 of 45, went pretty well - then I think it's safe to say you did not bomb the interview.

Not filling full time slot is usually bad sign (not always, but rarely a good sign), particularly if they cut your question portion short to leave.

Not hearing back day of/next day is a bad sign if its the final round, but in early/middle rounds is pretty par for the course

Sounds like your nervous/anxious which is completely normal. I've had interviews I walked out of thinking I crushed it, only to be denied, and had interviews I though no way I hear back, and moved forward with great feedback. Hard to read, especially on Zoom/over the phone.
