Winter 2022 Bonus Thread - Investment Management
Alright everyone--winter bonuses are being announced and it's time to share! This year could see some shakeups in response to banking raises
Let's see if we can make this more valuable than the nonsense in the IB thread...
PLEASE:
Post your years of experience and level of degree. No more analyst/associate confusion
Get as specific as you can with asset class and role, rating, and hours
Don't be a pansy--post the name of your company
If your company is private (or you can't post the name because it has very few employees), please post AUM and generalize net flows or returns if relevant.
And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE no boloney responses
Years of experience: 1.5 from undergrad
Base: 90k base moving to 95k
Bonus: 45k
Asset Class/Role: fixed income research
Rating/Hours: Top bucket, 40-50 hours per week
Company: PGIM
I guess nobody else gets winter bonuses? Come on fellas
Very small boutique firm in LCOL city. $1 billion AUM. Small investment team. Seeing strong inflows relative to past years. 4 YOE all at this firm straight from undergrad. Long-only equity strategy.
Base: $100k, up from $80k
Bonus: N/A
Not happy with the comp. Top bucket. Starting to recruit now.
Thanks for helping to get the ball rolling.
Hopefully you at least enjoyed your team, learned something, and had good work/life balance. Best of luck in recruiting!
Title: Associate PM Fixed Income
Years of Experience: 2.5+, 2019 grad
Base: Old 70k New 85k
Bonus: 21.9kFirm: Chicago, AUM 1.3+ trillion
(I feel underpaid…)
You are maybe 15k underpaid if you are doing actual investing work and not just portfolio monitoring/compliance work. Your salary is probably 10k low and your bonus is maybe 5k lower than market in 2020 (not sure how things will change going forward but I'm expecting a lower bonus next year)
If possible, please name your company. Invesco?
I manage funds and SMAs ($23 billion). Passive rates. Not Invesco but similar
Currently on grad at London based Investment manager. £5k bonus for grads, 2.5k prorata for me as i started September lol. Wont say name but £200bn+ aum
