I applied and the application status says "in progress - assessment" but I haven't gotten an assessment yet. Does anyone know when I'll get the assessment?

Looking to lateral from banking for something more chill. Did you network or recommend it for this?

Got an email from a recruiter asking for location preferences, good sign I hope?

Hey, current C1 BA/former ADP. I wouldn't assume that. Its middle of summer so a lot of people are taking time off, there are current interns to manage, and performance management cycle just wrapped up. Students & grads recruiting requires substantial time investment from the BA and Strategy associates, so initial timelines envisioned by recruiters and development program leads unfortunately rarely materializes as envisioned.

Candidates are handled in batches, and as far as I know no one has been setup for an interviews yet. We'll probably start making our way through the current volume of candidates in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

I'm a current BA intern. The BA role is pitched as "internal consulting" but is really more of an analytics/data role. The actual day to day role is very dependent on which of the 150 different teams you are on. Some roles are more technical (python coding) while others are more consulting-like. All roles utilize SQL programming extensively. The strategy role is actually internal consulting and there are lots of ex-MBB people there. Last year they took ~200 BA interns and only ~12 strategy.

C1 is a great place to work with excellent comp (~140k TC for new hire ADPs) and WLB (30-40 hours a week). Compared to MBB, the exit opportunities are more limited (no PE, mostly tech) and the salary/career progression is slower.

Just curious, what does the current comp package look like for Strat/BA ADPs? I had an offer a few years back before they bumped it way up so I'm curious how it compares now.

Thought I'd seen somewhere last year that it was ~100k/106k/112k for TX/VA/NYC with ~5k target bonus and then ~15k signing? How does that progress?

IIRC my offer for class of 2020 for TX was low 80k or so and then ~12k signing and ~4k target? So thats a big jump but I might be misremembering though

Per my offer letter:

- 106k base (VA)

- 0-6.6k performance bonus

- 20k signing for returning interns, 15k signing for non-returning

- 2.3k relocation bonus (1500 grossed up)

so the range for Y1 comp is roughly 123k - 135k

Seems like it's gone way up. I assume strat is the same? I imagine Cap1 levels off comp wise after senior analyst level, but that's still a great package for anyone not in MBB/IB/FAANG, especially given the WLB.

FWIW to those reading the thread, JPMC has (or at least did last I knew?) 1-2 very similar programs (FAST and CB Innovation), albeit they are newer and not nearly as big yet. Pretty sure comp is roughly the same as Cap1 these days, but with higher potential bonus and lower signing bonus. I ended up taking that job instead out of college. This is not to be confused with the Chase LDP program, which is not really comparable to Cap1 BA and pays much lower.

Does anyone know if strategy has already handed out first rounds? Haven't heard anything from friends who have applied or this thread regarding it

My strat application says  “in progress - assessment”

I completed the VJT soon after submitting the first week of July. Does everyone else have the same status?
