I got an offer from KPMG Strategy - should I continue to apply and interview at other places?
I've heard Big 4 hours suck and the culture is a bit iffy, but I don't really feel like any more notable firms, such as MBB, are recruiting anymore. I got rejected from Bain after the second round and didn't get an interview at McKinsey or BCG, so I have no chance at either anymore, obviously.
So essentially, I have a list of firms and places I'm applying to and/or still interviewing for because the work may be more interesting or impactful (for example, I'm very passionate about healthcare consulting) or maybe it pays better (?), but I think ultimately the Big 4 strategy offer would win out because of the name, which I believe influences exit opportunities?
Is my thinking wrong, as in maybe KPMG advisory isn't as notable. as, say, Putnam Associates or Keystone Strategy (just 2 other firms I'm also thinking of applying to)? I've heard my firm's strategy practice is newer and not as prestigious, but the KPMG is well known.
What I am prioritizing (from top to bottom), is: exit opportunities, work culture, and salary. I'd be okay getting paid a bit less if the culture is good and there are good exists after.
Also, I should note I only got a verbal offer and nothing in writing yet.
Hi Prospect in Consulting, any of these topics helpful:

Hope that helps.
Disclaimer - I don't have any first hand knowledge of KPMG strategy - but employees on Fishbowl tend to pretty consistently depict KPMG strategy culture as bad, so if that's a big factor for you then I wouldn't make it my top choice
Also, KPMG's strategy group is perceived by consultants as definitely a tier lower than S&/EY-P, so I wouldn't feel like you need to be anchored just to lock in some sort of name clout
Keystone Strategy always seemed like they were a neat place that hired smart people based on the few people I've talked to - if you like them more, and they don't offer horrendous comp, I'd consider them (however, if you haven't even applied yet, I'd imagine it's too late)
All things considered though KPMG strategy is a good & competitive job to get out of college even if there are other consulting firms you might prefer, so if it's all you end up with I certainly wouldn't feel bad, congrats
Fair warning that Keystone has recently been taking on more econ projects and strategy is harder to come by. Good if you like econ consulting work and some strategy on the side (sounds cool to me) but don't expect a pure strategy firm
I'm interested in both econ and strategy work, so that's why Keystone stood out to me. I just applied yesterday, so it might be too late, unfortunately.
