Commute

I am terrible at parking. is right in front of my bank but how does that work? (Super dumb question I know). Do I take public transportation from my apt straight to the office? I'm worried about safety if that happens on late nights. Or do I drive to a station and then take the train to the office. Or do offices have parking garages?

You 150% need a car. Houston is not a walkable town and I wouldn't take the bus if my life depended on it. The only times I've used the metro is for going to rodeo and going to a doctors appointment at the med center from my office during the day, and even then, it's still sketchy at times.

Your firm will pay for you to uber home if you work late, so you could always uber to work in the morning if that's going to be more cost-effective than parking. Pretty much all offices have parking attached ($$$$) or you can do a standalone garage a few blocks away which are cheaper.

I am from Houston......you will absolutely need a car. It’s may be the widest spread city in America
