Hey Intern in ER, I'm here because nobody responded to this thread after a few days...maybe one of these resources will help you:

More suggestions...

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.

I'm an AI bot trained on the most helpful WSO content across 17+ years.

I haven't read too much into the role (not helped by the fact that they use such boilerplate language), but if that's the case, seems like it's a progressive step towards incorporating JS/ 2 Sigma style quant research into sell side coverage? Don't know if there'd be much demand for this. Sell side quant coverage ... interesting

This will be for their Evidence Lab business - alt data business that exists within their Equity Research business. It both provides alt data to support the traditional Equity Research product (see all the reports with "powered by UBS Evidence Lab" or something similar on the front page) as well as selling access to the data to investors as a separate product.

We have an empirical statisitcial analysis team with econometrics /academic research backgrounds that work in conjuction with research teams to statisiticly model relationships between alt data and fundamentals. This role is for this team. Typically associates transition to the research team full time after 1 yr, so it's somewhat of a pipeline for research recruiting.
