Been lurking awhile but since no one has replied, I can try to help.

I can't help with interview experience. But, I am familiar with Segantii because they are our client and I have met them before.

They have a very strong ECM focused strategy. They like to trade the big blocks in the market. Their analysts (at least the team that I've met) have been mostly from the sell-side banks which I think helps with relationship in securing blocks.

So likely what they may be looking out for is your connections and understanding of which ever industry you're consulting in (based on your profile).

Can share what's their investing style for equity? L/S fundamental investing or short term trading?

It sounds like they are more on the trading side from what you described

Yes, they trade but not sure what is their timeline for trading. I mean if they are taking 1bn in blocks, they will likely need time to wind down their position. At least this is their for ECM strategy. If you look around, you will see their name appear in a few recent (past one - two years) Southeast Asia IPO. And their name won't be on HDS post-IPO 🙂
