1 Week FT Accelerated Process?

Hey guys, this is probably a stupid thread but I have to post this just to make sure. I have a return offer that expires on the 23rd and am waiting for a specific BB's app to open by the end of this week. I received a Superday with them last Fall and live in NY so travel wouldn't be a problem. Have you ever heard of anyone's candidacy being extremely accelerated (About 1 week for it to be reviewed, 1st round interview, Superday, decision)? Any insight would be appreciated, thanks.

I have no problem accepting my return offer tbh. This BB is the only other firm I'm applying to because it has a massive global presence and is in better shape for an economic downturn than my current bank (MM in US, Top 2 in EU). If the BB doesn't work out I'll be fine but I believe US banks will have an advantage over EU banks throughout the next downturn

Sorry, you said that in your post.

I personally never heard an IB make an offer in 1 week of getting a resume. Unless you have serious concern that your bank is going to go under or your group is going to be terminated I would just accept. Wait till after the recession ( if you believe it is going to happen) and then make the jump to associate.
