Just wondering if anyone out there is starting to look for apartments? I know there is a thread out there on it but wanted to get a more current one going. Anyway I am starting in September, looking around now and apt rents are ridiculous. Ideally looking to go Midtown East, Midtown West, Murray Hill or Upper East but get much better value for money with a roommate. Anyway still looking around but I think the premium is worth being downtown, for the weekends etc.

upper east is the best value for your money if you work midtown

financial district is the best value for your money if you work downtown.
