Hearing bonuses are under $100k for top bucket associates.

Lowkey bonus, what you all expect?
Absolute bloodbath. Anywhere from 20k-80k for associates, including top bucket. Could be worst payout on the street. Most associates are speechless and immediately starting job search.

This is 100% accurate - not sure what HL management were thinking.
Maybe they over hired? No idea what it’s like at the bank but maybe they want more attrition?
Searching where? Another firm that unfortunately also pays terrible bonuses?
This sounds like a majority of ibanks for 2023 bonuses…not surprised.
$20k-$40k for a non-mba is not comparable across the street at all, MBA stubs at market in 2023 were anywhere from $35k-$75k, getting a $30k bonus as a full time experienced associate for top 3 bucket sounds like the firm is bleeding somewhere and downsizing regardless of performance
Not true. TD Cowen and BMO paid very close to 100% bonus for ASO this year despite lower deal flow. Idk what HL is doing
Atrocious comp. About 50% of last year’s A2A on a gross FY basis (AS0s are stubbed 9 months).
Why is anyone surprised by shitty bonuses. Unless you’re at a true EB, you’re going to most likely get shafted on a bonus. Since junior salaries went up and market is normalizing post-2021, it surprises me people are still shocked by low bonus and expect 2021 style comp.
