2024 SA with IBS - How to fix?

I have IBS and the extra stress/anxiety is making it worse.
I feel like people see me getting up from my desk multiple times in a hour and sometimes be gone for half of that hour.

Has anyone had this issue? How did you deal with it

Control what you can control. Would recommend getting into some sort of routine before you enter the office each morning (ie. wake up at least 1.5 hours before you need to go to work, drink fiber supplement or coffee to poop). This way you come in not needing to use restroom. People are more focused on themselves than you think. If someone questions you or is a-hole about it, politely tell them the truth. I'm confident that won't happen though. As long as you get work done, I don't think anyone will have issue or notice as you might think.

You also know your body best. If certain foods cause flare ups, obviously avoid those. The same goes for eating lunch and spacing meal times accordingly to best avoid your body reacting too harshly. Remember at the end of the day this is just a job and there are countless people that face significant hurdles in life that achieve great things, so don't feel like you are "less-than" or not as capable because you have IBS. You can and will find success.
