I think current market is just too volatile for any govt entities to issue muni bonds and fund public infra projects, so the group expects lower deal volume - could have over-hired last year since the macro-scene was just different compared to now

This might be an outlier case compared to other offices and groups but pretty intense 

 

For HSBC, what was their IB return rates? And are return rates higher based on the group? Their DCM is biggest one, so should be higher rates.

 

Unless you skip work to go to the Hamptons or get arrested GS is usually super high returns across the board. Yours to loose. Always a few groups with lower returns though.

 

All groups typically return all but 2 or so kids per year according to my friend who just interned in a classic group this past summer.
