2nd Year Recruiting - missed boat?
Hi all -
Unique situation here, wondering if anyone has seen anything similar to this.
This summer, I'll be lateralling from an elite boutique (think Evercore, Lazard, Greenhill) in London to a BB (think GS/MS/CS) in New York. Will be starting as a second-year analyst.
Can anyone comment on his / her experiences with the recruiting process for second year analysts - does this exist? Any suggestions as to how to "get on the radar" for recruiters in NY (assume citizenship not a problem, strong target school, strong GPA / scores)?
Don't mind staying with the new firm for years 2 + 3 (to fulfill the 2 year committment), so targeting a start date of Summer 2015. Not exactly dead-set on the bulge bracket PE firms either - ideally a strong middle-market (e.g. MDP) would be absolutely great.
