Accept or jump ship

Hey guys,

I just wrapped up my summer internship and got an offer to return FT next year. I'm very conflicted as to what to do because during the internship I realized I really wouldn't be able to work in my preferred group due to geographical constraints. Do you recommend trying to find a way to ease into the group when I come back FT, hoping that this remote working situation will reduce distance barriers, or should I try to jump ship now? How about accepting the offer, giving it a try, and if I'm still unhappy a year in try to jump ship then? Is that harder or easier to do? The risk of jumping ship now is that I don't know how many weeks it will take to find available spots, interview and get an offer..

Any advice is much appreciated!
