Access to Bloomberg Terminal before starting position (Incoming Analyst)
I'm an incoming analyst in S&T for an FIC desk at Deutsche. I'm unsure on whether it'll be appropriate to ask for access to the Bloomberg Terminal to familiarise myself with it. I've completed my BMC certification but have never explored the terminal on my own. I start my graduate training in a month and just want to get used to it out of interest. Any suggestions?
Dude they're not letting you in the fucking building
thanks for letting me know bro
Absolutely do not ask. That 100% violates their licensing and data use agreements to share it externally, but is also just a really presumptuous ask.
FYI some libraries have them for free use. Might need to drive a bit but can get a few hours in
You’ll have plenty of time on the job to learn, nobody expects you to know immediately and if anything they might think you’re a goober for asking that.
Go enjoy yourself with no restrictions / strings while you still can lol
