Accounting Struggles

As an incoming IB Intern, I’m worried about my struggles with my accounting courses.

A lot of the topics are pretty hit or miss for me (ex: I suck at journal entries, cost accounting), but understand topics most IB firms interview on really well (3 statements, FCF, etc). I enjoy learning accounting and I work really hard on the things I don’t understand - but will it be easily noticeable that I’m shit at reading a balance sheet for example?

Seems like a dumb question but I’m pretty worked up about it as this summer is where I’ll be finally thrown into the job.

I already secured an internship and understand those Accounting concepts from the guides well. I just mean in the current ACC classes I'm taking, will my struggle be noticeable on the job depending on topic?

I depends on a lot of factors but the Wall Street prep gives you everything you need to know to have the basics for the job. It depends also on what dpt u are in IB. Do your research on ur daily tasks and think if you can do them perfectly or no.
