It's a certification related to finance so it won't hurt. however those exams are more present value of money and annuity pricing rather than anything related to IB, might work for S&T. You're better off taking the SIE (which doesn't require sponsorship). Also those exams are pretty difficult so not worth the effort either unless you're considering actuarial science

also many recruiters/bankers might not know what it is/how difficult it is. 

 

Second everything said above. Not relevant at all to IB or capital markets. SIE is a good step if you have zero finance on your resume just to show some interest, but if you are a finance major, have had finance internships etc, just focus on networking. 

For S&T some of the risk focused desks might like it if you already have it, but definitely not worth a huge time investment to get them.
