Advice - Off Cycle, Lateral, Entry Level Analyst - Class of 2024

Recently graduated from a top university (class of 2024) and I'm about to start work at an NYC based tech startup. I'd like to break into finance - IB, PE, AM or HF. I have a STEM degree along with some finance internships and CFA progress. The goal is to break into and stay in finance, and ideally end up in an value oriented investment role.

When would recruitment for IB/PE/AM analyst programs start? I know I can't apply for the regular 2025 analyst roles because they'll probably take undergrad seniors over me, but when does lateral recruitment start? Is it even possible to break into IB/AM after 1 year or a couple months of experience elsewhere? How should I go about this process, and is it feasible.

I'm willing to put in as much work as possible, and I'd appreciate complete honesty with your responses - no sugarcoating please. I know the MBA is a great option for a career reset, but I would want to break in by 2025 and not ~2029.

Thanks!
