Advice on Leaving w/o Burning Bridges
Back story:I've been working for a private wealth firm running the operations and processing side for about a year and a half now. While working, I landed a full time spot with a BB and have communicated the new role and start date with the advisors I directly support. The problem has now become the advisors really need me to stay around until May, while I would personally like to step down earlier in March. This would allow time to actually enjoy college rather than work 40+ hrs a week on top of full time school as I've been doing for well over a year now. The decision should be straight forward, but the team really needs me as they don't have the time or knowledge that I have when it comes to the operational side of the business. They've put their best foot forward in trying to retain me by giving a 33% raise and offering a stub bonus for 01/2022 - 05/2022. On top of the financial incentives, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the team as they are all genuine and down to earth guys. I'm now stuck because while I do want some time off, I also do not want to leave these guys flat footed and potentially ruin what has been a very enjoyable working experience. Any and all advice is appreciated.
