Alright analysts/associates, put us summers in our places

With 2023 internship starting in ~1.5 months, what should the incoming interns do to prepare? So many people focus on recruiting and it seems like very few care about doing a good job when they hit the desk. what do you need from us to be analyst ready by the end of the summer/not be a pain in your ass?

Honestly this is some weird/incorrect intern logic I see every summer. Except for the occasional one-off kid who realizes right away they don't want banking, most banking interns a bit try too hard... you should absolutely be diligent and hard-working, but your return offer isn't dependent on one single text comment turn. I wish the summers would just take a breath.
