Any advice for a Junior?

Hey everyone. I am about to enter my senior year at TAMU and currently have a 3.0 GPA (Poor, I know). I was focused more on being able to pay for school my first couple of years, but my past semesters have gotten better, and I got a 4.0 this spring. I am also a Financial Analyst Intern at a mid-sized commercial bank, so I am getting SOME relevant experience. Would you guys recommend I take an extra year to improve my overall GPA? I was considering this. I also was wondering if I should even attempt to study for CFA level 1, as I know it would be very nice on my IB application but is very difficult. English is not my first language, but I am very proficient in it at this point and I am still improving, would this impact my chances as well? Thank you!

CFA is not worth it at this point. Just try to improve your GPA (to a 3.5 is ideal) and network really hard. Would only take an extra year if it is not a financial burden, If not I would recommend looking at corporate jobs, transaction advisory jobs (Lots lateral from these), etc and then just continue to network and eventually make the lateral move.
