any benefits to being a minority during recruiting process?
I know it depends on the firm, but generally I'm just curious if being African-American could come with any perks when it comes to being recruited. Not that I'm not working as hard as others or I'm relying on DEI horseshit, just curious.

URMs get access to insight programs, which often lead to accelerated interviews. The issue is, there are enough URMs at targets(who also often come from wealthy backgrounds) that usually fill the slots for these programs, so don't count on it being any noticeably easier if you're at a non-target.
