For first year analysts? I know BBs probably are a long shot, but does anyone know of MMs that are still hiring? If so, can you PM any info you might have?

Investment Banking Mock Interview

“he did really good. he was very thoughtful and we worked through a question then feedback format as it was my first mock. I really enjoyed talking to him as he was very knowledgable and, as it was my first mock we sort of were understanding how it really flows. But for some topics that i struggled on, he knew how to tailor it in a way that I could understand and ultimately made me more knowledgable overall. I guess sometimes he wasn't as engaged with my answers but still took notes which was nice of him”

Investment Banking LinkedIn Review

“Pablo was amazing as a first mentor. Instead of simply talking about my linkedin, we had an insightful discussion about his career path, his transition between different roles like Investment banking, management consulting, private equity and even his work when he was a pharmaceuticals company. I don't think a linkedin review is as important as getting career guidance, so him taking the time out of his day and making sure he gave me his advice on how I can plan out my career and approach recruiting was very helpful ”

Posted on my school's (target) job board:

Lazard LA, HLHZ LA, GS Miami all hiring for M&A first year analysts. On the job postings they say experience in banking is mandatory though. But with some solid networking you'd probably land an interview even w/o experience.

These were posted ~2 weeks ago so you should probably start contacting them now if they haven't already hired people.

How will "solid networking" help here when they're hiring right this moment? Seems too late for networking, in fact there's literally zero time...
