Any Use in Reaching Out to Current Summer Analysts?
Hey everyone,
So I've been in the process of reaching out to people this summer in NYC, as being from Texas it is incredibly harder to break into the NY IBD industry than it is Houston.
Would reaching out to current summer analysts be of any use? I'm certainly not just trying to "use" anyone, but am wondering if there is much they could potentially do, especially if they are busy for most of the day anyways and are worried about getting FT offers themselves. Anyone have advice for reaching out to the current summers? Thanks.

Hey look this kid has a great resume, let me help him get the job I want. No.
No way. These summer analysts still don't have their FT offers locked down, so why would they help another prospective kid?
Think about it.
I would keep their contact information and contact them AFTER the summer is over. After the summer, they could have a FT offer and could connect you with a decision maker
This was the answer I was looking for. Thank you.
Concentrate on MDs and partners.
I don't know why but I laughed my fucking ass off at the thought of this
