Anyone else struggling with networking??

I feel like my conversations with analysts never go the way I want them to. Investment banking must really be easy af (outside of working bitch hours).

Not one analyst has been able to discuss companies or trends on a level that matches my sophistication and intellectual curiosity. I have spoken with some very senior bankers (think co-head industrials CS, co-head tech at ms menlo) and they do a much better job at being thoughtful, but even then, at the end of the day they are helping a client and apparently don't need to be as interested and intelligent as an investor or upper c-suite.

The brain drain is real, catch u on the buyside, monkeys
