HR has a list of names to review and select those names for HV if their resume wasn’t already flagged by the AI system to make sure they get one. (Resume AI flags key words like investment banking, DCF, fiancé teamwork etc.)Those names are submitted by internal employees, like actual analysts through MDs will submit a name into a system if they want to make sure an applicant gets one.

Then after HVs are completed these are passed on to teams for review (if you have alumni it goes to your school team)— the names previously flagged by HR are passed to the team so they at least make sure to watch their HVs closely. When they view all HVs, the AI has already pre-rated them on a scale of 5 stars on arbitrary things like eye contact, voice inflection, word choice etc.

I think my resume is good (key words, relevant experience, etc.) but still ended up not getting the hirevue. Does it mean the key words in my resume aren’t enough for AI to flag? Any reasons why it didn’t get flagged by AI?

I’ve talked to a lot of analysts but I don’t think anyone ended up referring me.
