Background check question - Spring internship

Hey guys,

Ran a search on this topic, but found nothing that answered the specific question I had. I just received the background check consent form for my spring internship, and my question is this:

In the Employment History section, they ask to list your 3 most recent companies. I just finished up a fall internship, but prior to that, I worked at a smattering of restaurants, retail, etc. I had a rocky relationship with a few that did not end well (in two instances). Am I obligated to include these?

Thanks guys.

You are not obligated to list those jobs that didn't work out. Also, they were retail/restaurant jobs anyway. Are your future employers going to care about the cashier at A&F's opinion of you?

Just list the companies that worked out well for you and where you have good references. That's the point of providing a work history.
