Bad bonus.
Bonus - Feel like I was screwed
I am a 1.5 year analyst at a regional boutique. I received a bonus of 40% despite a very postive performance review and a record year. The firm also is growing and added two members to the team.
My coworkers all received full bonuses except for me. I am very appreciative but consider 40% to be low in a record year. Thoughts?
Edit; coworkers have same/less tenure as me at firm but more outside experience
Sorry to hear man, lots of others have been in your shoes before (myself included). Did you talk to your MD about it? Maybe he could shed some light as to how they arrived at that number.
I tried asking but he brushed it off, didn’t want to press it too much as well, but would you agree that it’s a bit low? Based on what I’ve shared to other people, they’re saying I’m overthinking this, and I’m obviously grateful for any bonus but I can’t shake the disappointment for some reason
