Baird RE IB in DC? Spoken w/ recruiter regarding an analyst opening

Currently I work in corp M&A for a large public strategic ($20B+). Just spoke with a recruiter about an opening with Baird's RE IB team in DC. I'm interested in DC because I have strong family ties to the area and my girlfriend is potentially moving there for work as well.

Does anyone have insight on the culture of the team? I don't know much about real estate to be perfectly honest but the recruiter said they're open to anyone with an M&A background. Given the personal reasons I'd like to learn more about the team and what the work would likely entail.

I would also love it if people could list some other solid groups/banks in DC if anyone is more intimately familiar with the ecosystem there.

I don't much about the RE team in DC, but there are other banks that you could explore in DC region as well (MM and Boutiques).

I think even a BB or two has a presence there.

Baird, Stifel and HL are the best MM banks in that region.

Outside of that, you are looking are regional boutiques on a sliding scale
