BAML IBD Rotational Program
Talking with a buddy of mine about what's out there for IBD opportunities post-undergrad and he said a friend of his is doing a 2-year rotational program in IBD at BAML at their headquarters in North Carolina.
I didn't think analyst rotational programs existed and you just did your 2-year stint in a group and then moved on. Does this program exist or is my friend an idiot?
Haven't heard much about this especially at the BB level. However, Jefferies' analyst program is rotational for the first 6 months I think, and then you choose a group/are chosen.
I don't think theres a rotational program on the IBD side. I know for sure there is one in pretty much every other area of BAML (Ops, Comm. Banking, Tech, Corp. Fin etc..)
I know he did an internship in IBD Public Finance in NYC and then they sent him to NC. It seems weird that he would have interned in IBD and then move him to commercial banking or somewhere else though.
One of these 3:
Ask him the name of the program.
He's either lying or mistaken about being in IBD.
Also, Public Finance is not under IBD.
BAML describes it as being part of IBD in their job description, and I know the base salary is 74k in NYC. Sounds like IBD, are you sure?
Well the base salary for the rest of IBD at pretty much every bank (including BAML I believe) is $70k, so sounds like something is different here.
Is there a name for the program. For example - the Corporate Finance program at BAML is called FMAP - Finance Management Analyst Program
