Bankers: Why is there always a timelag when using the Excel quick access toolbar?

Banker friends,

you are doing much more excel than me. I was wondering why, when using the QAT, there is always a significant timelag inbetween pressing "ALT" + .... following with the number of QAT shortcut I want to run.

Alas, I quickly want to run a filter which is located at my QAT position "6" - I press ALT and excel goes into this 3-4 second lag before I can execute my command.

This triggers me immensely. It's like playing call of duty or something online and always have a lag when pulling the trigger.

Is there any worarkound for this???
